RBC Chequing account not being verified by Ebay.com. numerous calls and chats with ebay, all useless. Someone not Ebay advised me to setup a US chequing account.
So I did. RBC Geogia USA US Chequing Accout. I have a routing number and a chequig account number. Copy of the Cheque.
But... When I go to Ebay to enter the bank details, it requests a Transit number. If I enter the Routing number in that space, I get an error.
Is there a different Ebay form for US banks?
Where is the correct form to enter a routing number?
Thanks

The majority of bank issues seem to boil down to one of two things. Either you're using an internet "virtual" bank (which RBC isn't, and I have no idea why it matters), or you're a Canadian who has an account created on dot com.
The most likely path to success is probably to create an account on dot ca and have a Canadian USD bank account. You can still set it up as USD payouts, and you can still list items on dot com if you wish.
“Routing numbers” are what American bank accounts use. We Canadians use a combination of the institution number and transit number.
You are being asked for an institution number and transit number because you're registered in Canada and eBay's payment system requires a chequing account with a financial institution based here in Canada. You have a checking account based in the United States.
