Canadian here selling via Ebay.com USstarted selling again October 2025, but zero payouts

RBC Chequing account not being verified by Ebay.com. numerous calls and chats with ebay, all useless. Someone not Ebay advised me to setup a US chequing account.

So I did. RBC Geogia USA US Chequing Accout. I have a routing number and a chequig account number. Copy of the Cheque. 

But...   When I go to Ebay to enter the bank details, it requests a Transit number. If I enter the Routing number in that space, I get an error.

Is there a different Ebay form for US banks?

Where is the correct form to enter a routing number?

My understanding is that Canadian sellers who wish to be paid out in US dollars need a US dollar chequing account on Canadian soil. A US checking account with a US-based bank won’t cut it, even if it’s a subsidiary of a Canadian financial group like RBC.

My credit union offers a US dollar chequing account, but I’m getting the impression that they’re getting hard to find elsewhere.

“Routing numbers” are what American bank accounts use. We Canadians use a combination of the institution number and transit number.

You are being asked for an institution number and transit number because you're registered in Canada and eBay's payment system requires a chequing account with a financial institution based here in Canada.  You have a checking account based in the United States.
