There used to be eBay Live, last one was Chicago 2008. Three day convention. absolutely phenomenal. Those got cancelled and they went with eBay On Location that lasted a couple days on a much smaller scale. They killed those over a year and a half ago. They now do Meet Ups. Reminds me of diapers.
Meet Ups are for one evening and are hosted by a local eBay chapter. The one I am mostly aware of is in Dallas as they have a very strong local group headed by a very dynamic friend of mine.
To answer your question, no. Don't know why they quit on us. These things were always heavily attended, sold out. Costs were probably very high. Still, a lot of companies have conventions.
