I have been trying to get info on 4 different items from 4 different sellers from the UK but neither will reply. The items are greenhouse heaters that it seems I can't get in Canada or the US. I have sent several request by E-Bay along with two of the sellers I E-Mailed with the help of their E-Mail address in the item description.
I would not bother them any more but I need an heater by next month.
Thanks, Derick

Do they show "shipping to Canada" in their listings?

Many UK sellers won't ship abroad. These items seem likely to be heavy and even less likely to be candidates for shipping, and if they are electric they will need 240 volt current.
Have your gardener or an under-gardener sleep in the greenhouse, their body heat should be enough to keep it just above freezing. If very cold, put their families in there as well.

In some instances, sellers do not respond - or do not respond quick enough. I've had answers come to me AFTER the bidding ended. If seller does not reply to your questions don't bid. Move on and look for another listing. Else you will be unhappy if you win the item and it does not meet your needs.

Still wondering how you plan to get around the electricity problem? Or are they propane?
I'm also very wary about CSA/ULC safety labels. UK items are unlikely to have them.
If these are brand name products, instead of messing about with retailers, why not email the manufacturers? They may be able to give you the information you need as well as the contact info for Canadian sources.

Okay, keeping the CSA/ULC labelling in mind*, you can still ask those sellers who do respond even late if they are interested in setting up a private listing for you.
The seller writes a normal listing with the agreed Terms of Sale. When I do this i use a 30 Day/Good Till Cancelled listing because it is cheapest.
The TITLE of the listing is my customer's name.
Generally, this works very well and still keeps the transaction on eBay with eBay and Paypal's Buyer (and Seller) Protection intact.
If the customer does not buyer promptly, he goes on my Blocked Bidder list and the title changes to something more saleable, along with appropriate changes to the ToS.
*Because if you install an untested heater, you may invalidate your insurance.
