Package now given to DHL Ecommerce today. What is your experience with them?

Package now given to DHL Ecommerce today. What is your experience with them?  I ordered two sandals from the US and it was delivered to Glendale today and has now gone over to DHL Ecommerce to be sent to Canada.

So how do duties work here?  Any idea what I would be paying, am I paying on the total amount including shipping?  Will it be sent to my local post office and I will have to pay there.  I am going away in 3 weeks for a few months so sort of panicking.

DHL will send you a email/text to pay any taxes or duties and then it will be eventually be handed off to Intelcom or another shipping company once it clears customs. I live in Winnipeg so it's always Intelcom.

I also live in a house so it makes things easier to deliver. I don't know what it's like to deliver to an apartment. 

If you don't pay DHL the customs fees then it will probably be handed off to Canada Post for final delivery and the collection of custom fees.
