Missing payout please help

Hello I don't understand what to do I've tried reaching out to ebay CS but they seem to not understand what I'm saying or are doing it by purpose and keep reading off a script saying once ebay sends payput it says 1-3 business days and i keep explaining the funds have NOT been sent and are proccesing after being initiated . I had a email on February 1st saying my payout was sent. I usually get the funds deposited into my account the same day, after noticing it hadn't come through I checked and see it actually has not been sent and is stuck on "in process". Its been 4 days now and no change. I have received a payout after this with no problem . Does anybody have any solutions

Missing payout please help

It is very possible eBay is withholding some of the payment due to the high value of the items you are listing/selling...

No this has nothing to do with it. Funds on hold are different then payout initiated and then stuck on in progress. I received email saying funds have been sent but they have not. I'm very familiar with ebay I understand holds on sales. But once cleared and payout is sent I have never seen it stay stuck at in progress. I have had a payout sent yesterday and received with no problem.

I would have thought as mrdutch said it's due to either what the item being high in value or high risk item.

If you are certain this is not the case and it was initiated then stuck on in progress maybe it's a problem with the buyer and they are holding it until it is worked out.

As you say most times I received money the same day it was initiated, but there were a few times it took a few days. February 1st was the weekend, I don't believe they are processed on the weekend.

Was the payout you got after if for a lower amount? Maybe if the one stuck was higher there is a maximum limit. I've never sold high ticket items so I'm not sure how that might work.

Funds have processed and cleared. Ebay sent email that payout was sent but again it is stuck on processing. Item price has nothing to do with it I have had bigger payouts before and the one I received afterwards was higher. It is not for a single item either

It could've been a one time glitch. Have you received the funds of the sale yet?

I have received the one that was initiated on February 5th with no problem. Fun fact I am also missing a payout that was sent on January 26th, I received a email on the 27th saying that my funds are delayed reaching my bank( I had never received a email like that) and now 10 business days later still nothing. I have contacted my bank and ebay and they both blame one another. All payments in between have been received with no problems. So January 26th payment sent email saying delayed nothing received. February 1st stuck in processing. Everything in between before and after these days have came through.

Missing payout please help

I have been contacting ebay for almost 2 weeks now, they always say I'm going to get a response on 24-48hours and nothing. I get ghosted and have to restart the whole process. Its ridiculous I've had multiple payouts afterwards all I need is a normal human being to see that it's obviously a technical glitch and to either cancel the initiated payout and reinitiated it so it can get sent. Don't understand why its so complicated to get my money

What financial institution are you using for your chequing account?

A while back, sellers who were using Simplii or Tangerine accounts were finding that they were no longer receiving payouts despite those payouts "working" properly in the past.  A bit of digging revealed that Simplii and Tangerine had clauses in their user agreements that stated that their chequing accounts were not to be used for business purposes.  When those online banks got wind that these accounts were receiving eBay payouts, they shut down those accounts' ability to receive payouts.

Check the user agreement of the financial institution you're using.  It may be that the problems not on eBay's end but the other end, particularly if you're expecting a large-ish payout.

No it's TD bank, as I said I have received multiple payouts afterwards with no problem. You guys can check for yourselves. Omce your funds are no longer on hold they go through a 3 step process. Payout initiated, in progress, sent. So its not a bank problem the payout was never sent it was just initiated. I even confirmed with the payout transaction ID with the bank  they don't see anything because it was never sent theyre own platform is confirming it hasnt been Its in processing after being initiated. I feel like it's simple to understand but they make it seem like it's rocket science.  Classic deviation and gaslighting tactics. Very simple cancel the payout it has not been sent and reinitiate it.

But are you phoning them or are they phoning you?

The phone reps have a terrible reputation for getting you off the phone as soon as possible even if that means giving you the advice you want to hear instead of the advice you need to have. They are employed by a sub-contracted call centre in Utah. If you are lucky you will get someone in the Philippines for whom this is a Good Job with the possibility of advancement. Otherwise you're stuck with a minimum wage American.

Here are your options for contacting Ebay Customer Service.

Please be aware that for social media CS, you send them a Private Message and briefly explain what your problem or issue is. Feel free to leave your Name, address, phone number and/or your email address in this message. It is private and secure and it may help to speed up the response for you.

Your options will be on the left. If you use the link below you can only get to the Automated Assistant or Chat box type AGENT in the box and hit enter.

You will then get more options. Not all options are available 24/7. It will depend on staffing available. So sometimes you can request a call back and sometimes you can't. Sometimes you have the Chat option available and other times it won't be. If it is important to you to use one of those options, just try back later.

The social media Chat accounts are covered by trained eBay employees with some authority.
And you get a transcript so you can compare what you heard with what you were told.
