New Social Page Message

Noticed today when I went to check recent feedback left a message pops up "New! Social Page for Store Sellers. Link social accounts and create custom posts for FaceBook, Instagram, Pinterest & Twitter" and there is a Try it Now link. This may be part of the reason for so many changes and relocating links recently to accommodate this new social link. Myself I'm not on social media so I didn't "try it now" but thought I'd let the many out there who are and may not have seen the message know.

It wasn't sent as message but as a pop up when you click on your own user name or feedback for those who may not have seen it yet. This shows for me on the desktop version (not on the app yet).

Yeah, I was shown that too. Ebay providing social links is nothing new, this new page might be the great or awful I wouldn't know since I didn't try it either. In the past I have experimented with their link to Facebook tool but I didn't like the implementation at all. By using it I was basically leaving click bait everywhere, good way to tick off people imo.

Good to know! Yeah no one wants friends and family bombarded (or to feel obligated!) I thought since it said "New Social Page for Sellers" it was something new and fancy (me I'm not fancy...and far from new)

My 20 year old daughter (social media crazed age) has two accounts when she uses social media, the friends and family one and her art account. Thought maybe others did something like that. 

It's great if eBay is helping reach out to people in more ways (like every time I'm in my car I hear yet another commercial for eBay motors...but I don't sell car parts!), was at Toronto Comicon a couple of weeks ago and eBay was there again with a booth, and if more sales come for any of us with these changes that's amazing, just hope it isn't at the cost of the site having daily glitches and the tried-and-true parts of the site we that have been here awhile (11 years for me) have grown to love aren't the sacrifice.
