Quick heads up to anyone who still wanted to utilize the Duplicate Listing Tool.

Sadly and very unfortunately this tool is no longer supported/working. Tested a short time ago and got an Internal Data Error. Testing again today its giving the same message. This was a very valuable piece of free software that came in very handy. Maybe someone else will create a comparable tool but from my searching nothing found so far. It's too bad. Any similar tools that I could find were subscription/pay as you go.

Just was a handy tool for anyone with a large variety of similar listings. Very easy to happen. Double list something. It would catch it in under 2 minutes by running a scan of all your listings. Over the number of times I have utilized it found 1 on a couple of occasions. Created by someone named Shipscript. eBay at times would catch a duplicate issue but not 100%.

What it did:

When creating a NEW listing or using an old listing to SELL SIMILAR, eBay will check whether you are creating a duplicate and will display a warning on the screen.

I noticed a week ago it wasnt working when I sold soemthing for the second time (originally sold in October 2024) so I had to cancel. I used to use it once every few months, and I for sure found stuff double listed over the years and it was helpful!

You can try eBay's listing quality report. It might catch that.

Hi there, hopefully this reply isn't too late but I ended up making my own duplicate listing scanner because I was also bummed to see that the other one stopped working. It's free and I'm just trying to help the community. It's at dupescanners.com
