I just sent a small bubble wrap envelope by Expedited post from B.C. to P.E.I. & was shocked at the price. It cost about $21.00 & that was with a discount. I had no idea it was so much. And add the additional shipping fee that eBay takes & It isn't worth it. I can send across the world for less. It makes no sense.

That approach has never made sense to me.
You tacked on to an old thread.
A Buyer pays GST/HST based on their location NOT on the Seller's location. And unless the seller screwed up somehow, it is the buyer's money that is paying for shipping.

I can't remember exactly how it works but I think that for some services...regular parcel...tax is based on the senders location and expedited is based on the receivers location?
