Tariff Payment May be Required As Early as the 28th

My CP Manager shared information they got in a Canada Post email.   Paraphrased below, bolding from CP.

We have been advised new requirements may be implemented as early as August 28 for the shipping of parcels to the U.S. .... customers will soon be required to pay applicable tariffs prior to shipping merchandise to the U.S.

Hope nobody was thinking of pushing it too far and shipping on the 28th.   Looks like the 27th would be really pushing it as well and risky if this is the case.  For me, everthing normally crosses the border the day after it is dropped off with Canada Post.

I have a few auctions closing tonight and tomorrow will be my last shipping day.  fyi, they are .com auctions and I have automatic payment enabled so I get paid by US buyers within an hour of the auction ending.  I do like the auto pay.

I called CBP this morning they said CBP will not reject any package in transit that is above $100 but below $800 that arrives in customs on the 29th or after that.
