I've been messing around with eBay Social, and I setup a facebook page, but everytime I try to link my eBay to my facebook I get this message,

"

URL Blocked

This redirect failed because the redirect URI is not whitelisted in the app’s Client OAuth Settings. Make sure Client and Web OAuth Login are on and add all your app domains as Valid OAuth Redirect URIs.

"

I dunno if this is on facebooks side or ebays side, but I cannot use eBay Social for facebook at all until I figure this out. Pintrest works just fine.

Anyone else have this issue?

It's been the same for around a year now... It's been brought up to eBay multiple times, and nobody seems to even bothers to try to answer why how or when it'll be solved.

Same problem for a few years. I once got it setup but then it stopped working and same error again. Really frustrating because auto-posting to instagram was getting me lots of sales.

I've seen it reported in a few random places that to attach an account to social media one of the important requirements is that you have to have an eBay for Business account. The link attached seems to substantiate this. Going by the side tabs a business account it created via Google, Facebook or Apple. It may also be done via Instagram but that is NOT specified. It might be EXTREMELY helpful if this IS a requirement it should be clearly explained prior to a user attempting.

As a side note I was unable to confirm if there is an easy to way to convert a personal account to a business account WITHOUT losing a sellers history and feedback. I've personally never attempted or done any further research. There "could" be substanial costs involved to do so.

I have a business eBay account and it gives me error too.

This seem to be related to a configuration that needs to be done by eBay in their Facebook App configuration. I guess it only affects ebay.ca? Not sure.

It was probably something that happen when they implemented linking with ca. They never did any testing. I've seen random posts for many Canadian sellers when they attempted. The discussion posts never seemed to get any direct follow up from ebay with an actual solution.

Messages first cropped up about linking around March 2023 but nothing I am finding in way of an official announcement on ca. It's not mentioned in the when updates go live post.

My account is a business account. I've tried countless times contacting eBay and all they do and say is we have sent it to the tech team and they should get back to you within 2-3 weeks. They blantantly lie to me everytime I asked how long I should I expecting some sort of resolution or just some sort of answer on whats wrong. I chat and called 7 times in the past 2 years and it seems to be back burnered forever. Idk anymore. I just share through my phone on insta and have it post on facebook when I post on insta. I WISH I COULD JUST AUTO POST AND NEVER HAVE TO DO IT MANUALLY, but what can I do at this point. Just exhausted. I just don't get why its been years and there is no push for fixing this or a useful thread of some sort to get to the bottom of this. I'm over it..

I've contacted ebay support about 7 times now about this in the last 2 years. I get the same answer is oh we exhausted all options now we will give it to a tech to figure it out and they will contact you in 2 weeks with an update. No update. WHY EVEN have a customer service lie, just straight up say we can't figure it out. SO frustrating..

I have my own open ticket for a technical issue that is affecting 1/10th of my listings. Originally in speaking to ebay CS I was told the usual 24 to 48 hrs to resolve. I am aware of others this issue is also affecting. In speaking to ebay since they have told me they no longer advise anyone with an issue when it is been resolved. It is entirely up to us to either check with them (weekly??) or keep checking to see the situation has been resolved. Seems to be a poor way to deal with their application but how it is. My issue is closing in on 4 or 5 weeks. Still not fixed. Just very sad that there is no accountibility.

Yea its the same copy and paste message as soon as they can't figure it out. I don't blame CS as they are probably some third worlder not knowing much about the platform at all. I wish the IT department took this matter more seriously, but at this point the "social media" feature on eBay is irrelevant and useless. Our cries won't be anwsered its okay.

So how I get pictures to upload from eBay to my facebook is through Instagram mobile app. I just go on mobile eBay find the listings I want to be featured then I click share to instagram and make sure instagram is linked to my eBay so when I post it will post on both platforms. Thats how I pretty much do that part. Hope this helps.
