Will Canada Ad Rates drop to 2% to match USA Min Ad Rates?

With the changes coming Jan 13th, min 5% ad rates is excessively high.

That's interesting. I thought it was 2%. Apparently there was a stealth change to it.  With the additional changes to how promoted rates work, I think there's going to be a LOT of people turning them off entirely.

Ah, I played around with it some more. You can set a fixed ad rate at 2%, but if you're using a variable rate you have to have 5% minimum.

They made this change raising the minimum rate for using the Dynamic setting to 5% in November 2024, but it's still 2% minimum for the Fixed rate setting - it was a stealth change they made just in the campaign setup screens with no actual public announcement about it.

Around the same time, they also made a stealth change to Priority cost per click ads raising the minimum ad bid from $0.02 to $0.20.
