What is the usual time frame for EIS after switching to a DHL label before it heads to the us?

I shipped an item to a us buyer using EIS for the first time. The item arrived at the toronto hub and switched to a DHL label within 3 days. However, there has been no update since it switched to DHL tracking (Scanned into sack/container – Mississauga, ON), and it’s now been 7 business days.

Does this mean it hasn’t even left canada yet? How long does it usually take before parcels start moving and delivering in the us?

These are the questions the buyer messaged me, and I’m not sure how to answer. Any insight would be appreciated.

The good news, as yoiu got it to the hub, you are protected from INR cases, etc.   

I have not shipped by EIS but in other instances shipping with intermediaries there can be a dead zone without scans until an item is closer to its destination.   

 

The buyer will basically have to trust the eBay will get it to them within the timeframes they specified.  Tracking before that is just comfort food but folks do it.

Have you checked DHL website itself for tracking updates, or only ebay's tracking status?

ebay's updates on DHL might not be up to date, sometimes ebay tracking doesn't receive the DHL tracking updates, even after it's delivered.

Your item could have delivered in 3 days by DHL if you had delt with them direct.

You mailed on Friday,Dec. 12?

And the parcel reached Mississauga on Monday Dec 15? or on Wednesday Dec17? 

The business days reference is confusing me.

 

What is the last estimated date for delivery?
Has that date passed?

Has the customer complained?
Has the customer filed a Claim?

 

Never watch tracking.
