FAKE ACCOUNTS ?

im new to this(selling on ebay) and i have received 2 offers thus far and 1 account seems to have vanished. they both offered the same amount and to buy the same amount of items. also there is no contact after wanting to purchase and me accepting the offer ? not sure what my options are as a seller. any info   me is appreciated .

First your choices when you get an offer are Accept, Reject and Ignore.

The last is not recommended.
You  can also set Best Offer to automatically Accept/Reject based on the amount of the BO, and those prices can be a penny apart if you wish.

The customer who is Rejected gets a very nice notice from eBay, which you never see, telling them to try again. It must be nice, because often I find they do return and make a few BOs before hitting the sweet spot and getting either an automatic Acceptance or being brought to your attention for your decision.

It is possible that both Offers were quickly reconsidered and withdrawn by the customer, perhaps when they took into consideration the cost of shipping /sales tax/duty and tariffs.

It is possible that the eBay robots spotted them as Bad Guys and ended* their offers promptly.

It is possible that they were BGs testing to see if your account was live.

It is also possible that the Offers were from buyers who have two or more Strikes for non-payment and that you have the automatic Block on such deadbeats.

*This is the one which vanished. EBay closes accounts promptly when they decide it's a scam account. We cannot close our own accounts that quickly because : reasons.
