Ebay is a joke now. I'm on ebay ca and these things all say free international shipping but when I click on it its $ $11.18 shipping. And look at the 2 cables that are $1300....kinda ridiculous dont you think?

That is not what I see...when I search for that exact item, the listing states:

@leaky-bucket-labs Shows correctly for me. Try opening it in an incognito / inprivate / private window and see what happens. If it shows correctly, then it's something to do with your browser, an addon, or a setting like a postal code problem or something.

Here's what I got when I clicked on shipping details from a seller in the US who offers free International shipping ... I am in Canada:
It got it totally backwards and it suggests a domestic only shipment. I never did get an answer from the seller when I asked for clarification. It may only be free to the US 'hub' and the seller may think that's all there is - the rest of the trip to my Canadian address is free because us Canadians are just nice people.
Results = lost sale.
As for the crazy pricing on the cables, I have no idea why a seller would do this, but I see it all over the place on eBay ... ten dollar items listed for thousands of dollars.

It's likely a placeholder. In other words, they're probably out of stock and waiting for more to come in. They don't want to break any advertising links to the product or lose the product's sales history. (just a guess)

Good thought @flipistics ... that makes sense and probably saves the lister some time. I wonder what would happen if someone actually bought one of these items?

ebay is playing games. bait and switch.
why would it EVER say free international shipping?
and the crazy prices is 100% on ebay's territory as the are SPONSORED listings
Ebay is promoting scams with thier own sponsored listing and baiting people on the CA site.
Its ebay ca for a reason: this is Canada!
malfeasance

Are you actually signed into eBay when you do your searching? That archive page you screenshot shows no sign-in information.
For what it's worth, I can't duplicate what you're seeing, either, both on the app and on my laptop.

I can replicate it by changing my shipping location to Canada with no postal code (or just to USA insteadtoo) and going to:
ebay.ca/b/RCA-Cable-Xscorpion-2-Channel-Car-Audio-Video-Interconnect-Cables/94844/bn_7112864321
They might need to click on 'See All Details', and check/set their postal code in the shipping details.

But I can't see what the OP shared about "free internationa shipping". Neither in .ca or .com. At least while I'm logged in.
If I change location to the US (random ZIP), it shows free shipping with USPS, but not free with FedEx.
Shipping to Canada would be $11.16 $11.18

OP is only showing the free international shipping note on the search page, not the listing itself.
With a valid Canada location set it shows a shipping amount on the search page, but with a bad/missing postal code (or other country) it shows that the seller offers free international shipping on just the search page.
