Hi there,
I am hoping to get some insight on what additional fees (not including shipping fees already posted on Ebay) I can expect to pay when purchasing from either the U.S or Japan and shipping to Ontario, Canada. What is the difference in fees I can expect to pay for an item that is under $150 vs over $150. Please provide examples of your own personal experiences shipping to Canada from either U.S or Japan within the last few months.
Thanks in advance for the help!

More to the point of your specific question: Under or over $150 does not make a difference on the fees (custom brokerage), but on the GST/HST and duties to be paid (obviously both larger as the purchase price increases). But there are no exceptions at that threshold.

$150 only applies to the Canada-USA-Mexico trade agreement which is for items manufactured in those 3 countries. For CUSMA: Under $150 no duty, under $40 no sales tax, plus a collection fee (if paying when delivered).
