When shopping on Ebay Canada, or Ebay.ca... why are the USD prices shown in large font and CAD is shown in smaller print underneath?? There is an American Ebay for that. If it's Ebay Canada, the Canadian (CAD) should be the one that's in larger font and the (USD) price in fine print underneath. I attached a screen shot as an example, and I'll leave the URL below just in case anyone's interested in checking it out. It's ridiculous in any event and I think Ebay.ca should change it.

When you see the price in US dollars the item was listed in USD on the dotCOM site. Usually the seller will also be in the USA.

When you see the price in loonies the item was listed in loonies on the dotCA site. Almost always that seller will be in Canada.

what you are showing as an example is a listing of a USA seller who is listing and selling in USD ..
so why is that a problem?

You may have also noticed that the Canadian dollar price is an approximation. It's likely going to be a bit higher than that because of how payment processing handles currency exchange.
My guess is that it works this way because when the item is found in search results, that approximate conversion to Canadian dollars is shown to make it a little easier to compare prices, but once you bring up the listing page the US dollar price is more prominent to underscore the fact that you're dealing with a currency that's not Canadian dollars for this particular listing.
