I'm not bothering with ebay any more. I haven't been to ebay for a while. But anyways, I bought some cheap reading glasses in about 6 months ago. So I put in my order and waited for my glasses to arrive. In the mean time Canada post went on strike. Normally products from China take quite awhile and now with Canada post how knows how long its going to be. I was in no hurry anyways. I thought I would get them sooner or later. Christmas was coming up and I remembered the glasses. I went to ebay to check it out and even online the product was not delivered. So I asked the seller to refund my money. He wrote back and said he would just go through ebay and ask for it and I guess they send him a email where to refund the money. I couldn't figure it out so I called them. I couldn't do it because I was over their 30 day limit to ask for a refund and since it was about 6 months now they told me they can't do that. I should contact the seller and ask him if he could refund it through paypal or through my visa. I told that it sounded not right. I'm not giving someone I don't know my visa number. They told me they wouldn't help even though the seller was willing to refund me my money. So then I thought I'll try and do what they say so I went and ask the seller to send me my money through paypal and gave him my email address. Well of course ebay would not let me send this. People would just start paying through paypal and bypassing ebay. That makes perfect sense and these people I talked to on ebay were telling me to do this. Real winner here. I should have known when they said I was a member for only 6 years. more like 16 + years. Anyways I have a seller that will paid me back but they won;t let him do that. Go figure. I am over the 30 day to ask for the money and the 90 day to collect. OK. Ebay this is how you help. And for a lousy $6.00 that you don't even have to pay. Well you just lost a customer that has spent thousands over all the years I have been with them. I don't think I have ever been treated like that before. Wow specially when it doesn't cost ebay a cent. Just a push of a button. You can keep your Ebay I don't need it.

"I bought some cheap reading glasses in about 6 months ago."
6 months ago ? and you expected eBay to do something about it ?? ...the seller is under no obligation to refund after the specified time. Even a Credit Card or PayPal only allow 6 month maximum for refunds!!
Sorry, but your forgetfulness is not eBay's fault! ...There are rules and policies for buyers just as there are for sellers......NO selling site is going to refund after their specified time frame for refunds...NO need to blame eBay or the seller...this was an oversight on your part as you did not take the appropriate action within the specified time frame..

Like @mrdutch1001 said, it's surprising that someone who has been in eBay since 1999 (according to your profile) would miss the money back gaurantee time limit. If you are looking for someone to blame, take a look at a mirror.

That's not what I am complaining about.
I didn't ask ebay to refund me. An the seller graciously said he would refund me my moneys if I got ebay to let him refund me. Yes the seller was not under any obligation to refund me anything. But the seller is a nice person and he seen I didn't recieve my purchase because it showed it wasn't delivered. But when the seller says he will refund me the money I expect ebay to send him the form or what ever it's called so I can get a refund. Hey If ebay can't figure out that sometime it takes over 30 days from China then they are not keeping up to date with the times. All I am saying for 6.00 ebay is losing a good paying customer. So be it. 🙂

ATTENTION!! I was not asking for ebay money back Gaurantee! The nice person seen it was not delivered and said he would refund me my moneys. That is it! If not for ebay I would have been paid with no problem what so ever. If Ebay wants to call this a gaurantee that is on them not me. They won't let either if us give their email so I can get my refund another way. Like thier own customer service said to do. When I entered a email ebay would not let it go through. I would think that customer service should know this. If there so call rules are that important than fair play then so be it. Big world and I don't have to deal with this type of company any more.

"But when the seller says he will refund me the money I expect ebay to send him the form or what ever it's called so I can get a refund."
When a seller "says" will refund , that may be because the seller "thinks" he can...
However, the seller cannot process a refund through eBay after the designated time frame...that ability is no longer available to the seller. There is no"form or what ever it's called so I can get a refund."...as the specified timeframe has passed and eBay removes access to that refund process.
and if losing a $6 item is so much of a hardship, then perhaps your stance on "the principle of the matter" means more to you than accepting your blame/your mistake/your error/your obligation to know the rules of the game...

the seller graciously said he would refund me my moneys if I got ebay to let him refund me.
And I am Marie of Romania.
There is an "if" in that sentence.
"If" means under these special circumstances
And since the seller should know that the Money Back Guarantee is only good until the last estimated date of delivery, you were deliberately mislead.
The seller can easily refund you.
There is no need for eBay to be involved.
Give them the address of your Paypal Account and tell them to send the refund there.
They won't.
You got took.

In that scenario the seller is out the fees as well. If eBay will allow it, the fees should be refunded. Not saying whether the seller should or shouldn't refund, just that I don't think asking the buyer to contact eBay and ask for it is unreasonable.
