It's hard to recommend anyone use UPS to ship to the States post-Aug29.
There is no Zonos - that is a Canada Post requirement only. For most shipments via UPS they are sent DDU "Delivered Duty Unpaid", meaning that UPS pays the duty up front on your behalf, with the assumption that they get reimbursed by the end buyer. The problem many people are facing is that in addition to any tariffs, UPS is applying heavy brokerage fees onto the amount owed by the recipient, resulting in refused shipments. And in many cases UPS is then coming back at the sender in Canada to pay said fees that the recipient refused to pay.
Also, as of Aug 29th, UPS has added an "Entry Preparation Charge" to all UPS Standard shipments. The amount is $10 for shipments of a value less than $200 USD, and $20 for values between $200-800 USD.

I'd be extremely cautious with UPS, I've got one item that's been stuck on the following update:
"In Warehouse
Calgary, AB, Canada
09/04/2025, 10:46 P.M."
...and no movement since, so now I need to file an insurance claim per advice from an eBay customer service rep I chatted with today.
However, another item also sent by UPS seems to be showing progress in comparison, as of today's update:
"09/09/2025
12:02 A.M. Arrived at Facility
Calgary, AB, Canada"
"09/12/2025
2:55 P.M. On the Way
Export Scan
Calgary, AB, Canada"
If anyone has shipped with FedEx in comparison lately, please let me know how it went so far.

Why would they suddently be charging a fee for what was required of them anyway? It's not like they didn't have to check packages to make sure they didn't require brokerage before? Have they changed their regular brokerage rates or are they just stating what their old brokerage rates are?
UPS has attempted to shake me down for duty and tax that was prepaid on items i've purchased for the states. It was a hassle to get them to hand over the package without any brokerage fee's because nothing was owing as it had already been paid at time of purchase. They have been sued multiple times for charging false fee's.

Do not use UPS or FedEx under any circumstances right now. I'm going through an awful time with huge eBay label overcharge fees 500% over quoted prices. I am going to be making a tough decision within a week whether or not I continue selling on eBay.

$$$$$$$$$
Volumes are way up through couriers like UPS. Why not milk this situation for all it's worth.
