Canada Post Expedited Lite Rate

Is there an issue with Canada Post rates through eBay Labels? I went to buy a label this morning and my expedited lite rate was higher that what Ebay has calculated and collected from the buyer, they collect $6.47 and charge me $8.20 to print the label

Pricing is still broken for me. Expedited Lite is $20+ (Quebec to Quebec).

190g package. 16x9x4 cm.

According to the ebay calculator tool it works fine for expedited lite. It could be a situation like I discovered where when you input it is switching the first and second measurements and causing a cubing problem within the ebay label tool. I reported the issue to ebay on the weekend. Still waiting for followup and credits for the shipments where this happened to me multiple times. You may want to check recent shipment details to see if similar has happened to you recently.

PS. As a side what was the to postal code item was going to? If address is an airstage/beyond point exp lite is no longer in play. The an alternate solution if item fits would be 1 of the prepaid products from cp. Limit is 5 kg. Have you tried testing with a huntingdon postal code vs a rural location?

devon@ebay  The announcement about the adjustment about a revised limit on expedited lite to 250 grams was Dec 5. It still has not been updated from the ebay calculator or within ebay labels. Will this be corrected?

Re: Canada Post Expedited Lite Rate

Thanks for reply.

1. For the sake of test I put my item dimentions 5x5x5cm - price is still $18-23 (depending on which postal code I put, all of them within 100km of Montreal).

2. I used the same Shipping Policy in the past, Expedited Lite was $7-8.

This tools shows correct prices ($7-8) for real dimentions and the same postal codes -  https://www.ebay.ca/shp/calc/rates

If I go to old orders and try to purchase label again - I see correct prices ($7-8). I checked payments history for my previous Expedited Lite shipments - I cannot find any adjustments made.

Seems everything worked fine in the past.

So, not sure what I can do.

Something happened to the programming within ebay labels in the last 30 to 45 days that eBay can't seem to correct. When we will see revised charges for overcharges is anyone's guess. Sadly when they created the revised ebay postage calculator tool it became a very stripped down version of its former self. It does seem like the 2 entities...eBay postage calculator and ebay labels calculations/label creation were not written by the same programmers based on their differences in appearance and functionality.  This is causing buyers to see and pay 1 amount at checkout and sellers paying a different amount (lately) when they get billed and being left in the lurch at a loss.

Best thing we can do is keep messaging ebay help/eis/label team with concern. Strength in numbers  attack method.

Re: Canada Post Expedited Lite Rate

When I plug in Huntingdon postal code into the ebay calculator, the rate I get on the listing is the full undiscounted rate.

This suggests that your settings for discounts have been changed and are not passed onto the buyer anymore.  Yes this just happens out of the blue for many it seems.

To verify if this is the cause or not check 'Shipping discount settings' via Shipping Preferences to see which option is applied and change it if needed:

Yup, that was it. I see $8.05 to me in Winnipeg on that listing you shared earlier in the thread!

My issue with higher rates showing to the hub seems to have resolved itself, as it's now showing the regular Expedited Lite rate to the hub. Unfortunately that "regular" rate is now several dollars more expensive than Expedited Lite used to be, but I guess that's the new normal.

Anyone in the GTA (or Vancouver/Montreal/Calgary/Ottawa/etc.) is going to benefit from these new Expedited Lite rates the most, as that's where the majority of the population in Canada is. I'm in Winnipeg so I'm only benefitting from the new rates for anything shipping within Winnipeg or the surrounding area (which isn't many buyers, unfortunately).
