Sadly because it is made of metal and Orangie has issues with anything made of metal. Charge is made up of the tariff on the metal and customs processing.
Legal mumbo jumbo below.

in a word M-E-T-A-L!
ALL Canadian sellers need to be aware of what they are listing and/or selling to the USA!

That's when I realized that the USA is run by a bunch of crazy people, especially the orange clown!

My guess is EIS handling of metal, but also it's set to COO Canada.
I would experiment just to see how different things effect it...set COO to US and back. Also x10 price to see if the % stays the same.

I looked at the listing and there is no identification that it is metal or steel. Enamelware is the only clue, so bit stumped myself.

you not know what enamel/enamelware actually is??

I do, hence "clue". Looks like the EIS algorithms do as well. I am a bit suprised it picked it up, that's all.

but this is the very reason that Canadian sellers need to know and be aware of what they are listing here on eBay if they are going to play to the USA audience.

For sure. I have read some crazy stuff.

Yes, I think that 99.99% of our problems with eBay's international shipping come from the AI. I use it currently and very often for item identification; the AI is wrong...

It's impossible to sell an item with these ridiculous shipping and customs fees.
