How do I print this label on Canada Post Snap Ship?

I get the screen below. Adding a pickup just adds a pickup, it doesn't bring me anywhere that I can pay for my order. I've tried multiple browsers and it won't let me pay so I can print this label.

Please help, I have no other way to print this.

How do I print this label on Canada Post Snap Ship?

I see this at the bottom, there's no pay button or anywhere for me to put in my credit card:

Using Firefox and Edge, neither works for letting me print the label.

There are often maintenance/system upgrades on the Canada Post site on the weekends...perhaps there is a problem with the shipping method you have selected and/or the destination country....I have used CP SnapShip many a time..BUT I have never shipped anything outside of Canada when utilizing CP SnapShip...and I have never requested pickups as there is a postal outlet nearby ...

I don't want to request a pickup, but if I try to do that (to get to a payment screen) it just adds a pickup and doesn't provide any options to pay. If I click to cancel the pickup, it goes away, but I still can't pay.

From what it says at the bottom of the screen there's supposed to be a button for me to click "pay", so I'm guessing I would put my credit card number in and pay, but nothing's coming up for me to do that. I don't think there's any problem with the service and country, but if they're doing maintenance that might be why the "pay" screen isn't coming up.

Did you try rebooting your computer/logging out of eBay? It seems like a glitch.

I can reboot, but I'm buying the label on the Canada Post site. I need additional insurance and there's 17 items in the order and it's giving me an error on eBay. I went to Snap Ship so I could call it a "collection of medals" and not list every single one in the package.

I did log out of snap ship, and tried to log in with a different browser. I'll try to reboot but I don't expct it to make a difference.

Nothing changed with rebooting the computer, but I left it on the page for a few minutes to go and get another tea, and a screen popped up below:

but I don't know what this means, I've been trying to print this label for an hour. I need to send this tomorrow.

Looks like it just might be a temporary glitch on the website. Or they're doing maintenance. All too common these days, unfortunately. Try again tomorrow (Monday). Worst case scenario go into the post office and send it manually. It should cost the same amount. Fill out the customs form/addresses ahead of time using canadapost.ca/customs and it's a fairly painless experience at the post office counter (for both you and the clerk).

You can also try NetParcel or Shippo - the former might even give you a larger discount than what you're seeing on SnapShip.

I tried calling tech support at Canada Post (phone number at the bottom on the support page), he went through various types of trouble shooting in case it was a me problem that was keeping me from buying the label, but that didn't seem to work.

He said he could escalate it, but he wanted permission to process the transaction (so I get emailed the link to my label), but this is an Xpress to Hong Kong, I can't wait a week for them to process this, I will find some other way to ship it (including at the Canada Post counter if necessary).

I had the same problem.  It's a glitch.  Try another browser and/or call them.  That website has a lot of glitches.

I did both, they actually walked me through Chrome and doing some settings to make sure it would work.

They wanted me to let them escalate it so in 3-5 days someone would process it and the payment would go through. I told the guy on the phone if he can't fix it today, I'll just print it some other way. I pointed out that an Xpress package to Hong Kong is kind of urgent, I can't wait 5 days for them to fix it.

It's still not working for me, but I may try tomorrow. If it doesn't work tomorrow I'll create a netparcel account. I might do that anyway so I have options.

EasyShip tends to have good tracked packet international and xpresspost international rates as well. You could also try UPS via Click Ship. That might be both faster and cheaper. I don't know what the size and weight of your package is, but it might be worth at least checking a few other places.

I went ahead to ship with Net Parcel. I still couldn't print the label tonight.

It had problems on Net Parcel, I got an error that the state/province couldn't be blank. I'm wondering if that was my problem on Snap Ship, I didn't fill out a state/province, but it didn't give me an error to tell me that was missing.

Well on snap ship it was $114 and on Netparcel it was $71. So I think this problem made me come out ahead, and I learnt a new source for buying labels.

If only someone had given me a reference ID I could have used it when I signed up (I presume giving a reference to the site gets you some bonus when you do that).

How do I print this label on Canada Post Snap Ship?

@sapphyres-designer-jewellery  When the Canada Post strike hit Christmas 2024, I did a LOT of research into alternative shipping. It's made a world of difference for me. I'm sure there's probably something good out there I haven't looked into yet, but I'm currently using the following:

  • eBay Labels for eIS (hub) and Expedited Lite. Some very light UPS packages can be cheaper too.
  • EasyShip for Tracked Packet International / Xpresspost (or I would be if I shipped them outside of eIS).
  • Click Ship for UPS, CanPar and ICS
  • Shipping Chimp for Canada Post and Purolator
  • Sendle for, well, Sendle.

Sendle and Click Ship offer free pickups as well. I think Shipping Chimp does too, but it's currently a manual process with them.
