After reverifying my account (flagged as Ebay thought it had been hacked) I have found all 10,500 of my listings are gone, gone, gone. The nice Ebay help-desk person suggested I should just redo them (1000's of hours labor went into them) because when ebay deletes listings they are gone forever. They were all "good till cancelled" and I never got any warnings that they were going to do this. They sent a nice email describing how I can reinstate my store, this is my reply:
"Hello - thanks for not addressing the problem I have. I did indeed cancel my premium store. This is because Ebay randomly decided to erase my 10,500 lots that I had listed. This represents many thousands of hours work; work that I did not have backed up because of the trust I had in Ebay. Note that I was never sent a warning that these listings would be deleted, they just disappeared,
I have been working with Ebay since 1999 and have had a very active store since 2018. To say that I am disappointed is beyond words. If you can recover my listings we can move forward and if not than I will pivot away from Ebay and encourage others to do likewise.
Very poorly done."
Too late for me; I'm moving to another platform. Just a heads up to NOT TRUST EBAY, and to keep a current back up of your listings.
