Not sure what to do here. What would you do?

I have 2 ID that I sell CD's on.

My main one that has 2750 feedback and 1,882 active listings that are both on both .com and .ca and I am paid out in US$.   Although sales are down, I still get at least 1 sale a day from mostly US buyers on .com (only a few from .ca).  Also when I list, it is visible within an hour.

I have another account (this one) which only has 19 feedback and has 145 listings only on .ca and I am paid out in Cdn$.  This one sales have almost been non existent since Sept 22/21, before that I have had 24 sales since July when I started listing there.   When I list here it takes about 24 hours to be visible.

So my dilema is:  Do I continue to list on my main account using US$ and forget about listing on this .ca account?  WWYD?  If my main account paid me out in Canadian $ instead of US dollars, I wouldn't even be considering this new account but since we can't change it now.

Why do you have your .ca account? You seem uncomfortable having an account that pays out in US dollars. Why is that? Is it the higher fees associated with listing on .com versus .ca?

For what it’s worth, I’m thinking that your low sales record on the .ca account is preventing you from appearing more prominently in “best match” search results, which I suspect is how most users are searching for CDs. The search delay is annoying, but if you’re listing a month at a time, what it really means is that you’re paying for a few days that your items may not be readily visible.

Your sales record of mostly US buyers purchasing your US dollar items is likely a function of there being almost ten times as many Americans than Canadians, not because you’re listing on “their” site, per se.

I’d do some number-crunching to see if you’re getting good value from your .com account before making any sort of decision on this, but my inclination is that given the awkwardness now involved in modifying accounts, you’d be best sticking with what’s working for you.

Thanks.  I have too much US money as it is, not spending it as there is no travel, what I need is Canadian money.  The only reason I am even looking at this .ca account is it pays out in Canadian $.  Does anyone know if we can change it to Canadian managed payments from US managed payments?  Has anybody tried?  If I could do that I would be very happy with my main account.  Currently I have 2 accounts paying out in US and this account paying out in Canadian if I ever get any sales.  They didn't even ask me what I wanted for my third account which is for sewing patterns which were only listed on .com.

Can’t you just convert and transfer your US$ funds to a Canadian dollar account by using a service such as Wise if the bank won’t let you do it?

It isn't possible to change your payout currency.
