Put "time away" but urged to ship by Ebay by Dec 22?

It may not be grasping either your handling time when attached to time off or the fact that there are days the post office is not working due to the holidays and seasonal volume connected. In checking one I had earlier today this  is messege attached.

Label created—ensure carrier has package by Dec 22 to meet promised handling time.

Estimated delivery date shown to buyer: Dec 23, 2025 - Dec 29, 2025

In my situation it "should" arrive in time...Calgary to Edm. Yours may vary depending on its final destination.

eBay's ETA's have always been by my testing best case scenario, not truly factoring in rural to urban, urban to rural and rural to rural along Canadian holidays and their quirks.

 I think that's just the default message you receive whenever you make a sale.

I've had items sold during time away, and even though the banner clearly says to expect a shipping delay, I went ahead and contact the buyer, telling them to expect a delay due to the scheduled away time.

Best offer sent before you started time away? Those have to be fulfilled within your pre time away obligations.

Yes, I've notified the buyers. But I don't want to get dinged by ebay for "late" shipping.
