US Sellers..... Please start shipping to Canada through USPS again

Sellers in the US need to allow using USPS for Canadian shipments. It's cheaper and honestly, it gets to us faster than using eBay's idiotic international shipping. I understand why you use EBay's option, but for buyers, it's ridiculous.

I would run for the hills prior to eBay opting me in to anything like that.

It's not a default.

It  is a seller option.

And US sellers are xenophobic and paranoid enough to want the protection against us scary foreigners.

EBay allows US sellers to block sales to Hawai'i, Puerto Rico, and Alaska for that matter. And for all their "thank you for your service" they can also block sales to APO (military) addresses.

It's not about the buyer experience.

It's about encouraging those paranoid and xenophobic MAGAts to sell internationally.

Did you wade through the survey regarding international selling?

Also have you noticed on dot com they have gone towards some sort of monthly announcement for users? April, May, June to date. Last one on ca was April.

I certainly would, with the exception of US shipments (not necessary given low rates and hassle free using CPC). I used to be Mr Wonderful back in the days (shipping worldwide using int small packet no tracking) but after it came back to bite me once too many (false INRs from unscrupulous buyers wanting freebies), I stopped and now only ship tracked (domestic, US or Int).

Canadians sales are marginal for them. I say that has a Canadian seller with sales being mostly US bound (90%) in two categories (auto parts, collectibles). I think the reasons for that are: 1) larger population (10x), 2) bigger spending and reliance on credit (vs Canadian conservatism and let's call it stingyness), 3) bigger adoption of online shopping in the US.

From what I read a lot of sellers were volunteered for the system and opted in without their knowing.

The only sellers that were opted in by eBay were sellers that had NOT been offering any type of international shipping.

These sellers can be broken down in to two groups

Those that recognized the high level of Seller Protection and were happy about it.

Those that were outraged, would not spend 10 seconds reading about the protections nor would they expend the minimal energy required to opt-out preferring to whine and complain instead.

Re: US Sellers..... Please start shipping to Canada through USPS again

they dont care amiga.  American sellers are lazy and entitled so ebay set up the intl shipment program to accommodate and enable their laziness.  They also dont care the US market loses millions of dollars annually in sales due to this idiotically self serving system that systematically cuts off its nose to spite its face by horrendously overcharging Canadians to buy stuff from down there.   By accomodating US sellers in this way, they have significantly damaged their bottom line, but again, the 41 million people up here have been deemed unworthy of consideration in this regard.
