Re: Upcoming webinar about eIS for Canadian Sellers

Thank you @john_koenig99  for posting this link.  There are misconceptions so I hope you don't mind me cc ing my post from another thread.  Not in great health right now and too burnt out today to type a new one...

I know you know this stuff already but maybe it will create questions for the webinar or answers for  others including silent forum welcome visitors who are on the fence.

  Thank you.

My view and experience. Shipping Internationally since 1981. Always have external commercial invoicing/VAT info etc on Int shipments. Never lost a shipment. Never an issue other than minor delays at int customs. Never an unsatisfied int buyer knock on wood, but not a wood species that's on a restricted list in any country. Bin there dun that before.

EIS is free.

Other services like Tracked Packet International still show in your listings as buyer options.

Why on earth (no pun intended ha ha) would a seller not want free exposure around the world to sell globally???

For items you can't make a good profit paying Trump thru Zonos forget the USA. Until some de minimis returns ($150 please), or you have a "magic bullet widget" the USA is "OOS". Items unprofitable by prepaying Import Fees yourself and are under a massive landing cost thru EIS cannot compete in the USA unless you  do it for free.

For those folks forget the USA. If you list on EIS, even if your item isn't "accepted for EIS USA,  items that qualify are still listed by EIS globally.  Free exposure ....free .

  • EIS is free,
  • there are no risks if you follow the format.
  • No extra fees.
  • Promoted listings fees are actually cheaper because they're based on a TO label.
  • No manifests are req'd on external packaging,
  • no VAT to think about,
  • no Euro packaging issues.
  • You don't even need the buyers addy on the package.

All you have to do is hike your widget to TO. AND a recommendation: At shipping time send a nice "shipped" note to your buyer with a photo of your outgoing (pre EIS Hub) shipment.

One country's on hold. Big Deal.  It's a big planet.

Re: Upcoming webinar about eIS for Canadian Sellers

Breaking News!

Hi again Mr. Watchmaker, Silent visitors  & upcoming Webinar Folks,

(Sorry folks not well today and probably long gone when you read this)

How about this? Can EIS Change It's Mind? Same listing. 3 versions with no keyword revisions, no change of the category and no revisions at all. Same listing.

Takeaway: Don't  waste your time troubleshooting an EIS listing. Maybe it just needs it's  "alone time". ;>}   We've all been there right?

This item weighs out at "zero grams". In the 70s most Stage Access passes were business cards. The incredible Festival Express cross Canada railroad post Woodstock concert tour by the Grateful Dead, Janis Joplin, Buddy Guy and on and on... A full access pass was paper and the size of a business card to gain full onstage access.

  • Photo 1 November 11 listing EIS USA Ho hum. Won't sell period due to landing costs.

  • Photo 2 November 29 same listing EIS USA  Import fees mysteriously rose $30!? to $80.65 from it's own original import fee of $57.84 for, yep, a business card. ...Ho hum Won't sell anyway due to landing costs. Whatever you do, don't take EIS out to dinner...

Ka Ching!

  • Photo #3 November 29 same listing EIS GERMANY Complete exposure.

  • Photo #4 November 29 Joplin goes to Germany Reg Service Tracked Packet CP $22.16 No Import Fees. EIS Option is offered below Reg Services $36.36 No Import Fees. Buyer choice $22.16 Trk Pkt or $36.36 EIS.

Please don't waste your valuable listing time troubleshooting as others suggest.  Don't break up with eBay. It's not your keywords. It's not your category. It's eBay. Have you ever said that to a girl/boy?  I have.

eBay is going thru things. It needs it's alone time.

Unless you sell live animals opt in.
