Hey guys!
Since around August, every time I get a U.S. order I see this notice:
“Due to changes in U.S. customs regulations, all Canada Post services to the U.S. and Puerto Rico are temporarily disabled.”
I’m wondering if eBay has provided any timeline on when this will be re-enabled?
Paying duties and printing lables via Canada Post not only expensive, but also very inconvenient. I hope the original Canada Post (usa) shipping serviec will be restored.

Thank you for the reminder about the webinar. Is this an invitation-only event?
All I can see in the Annoucements section is the message and link for the one that took place on 05 Dec...

There should be a link at the top of your listings page in the seller hub.

Unfortunately, no. I don't see any such link there. 🙁

Why don't you just use UPS?
I've had multiple sales ship to the states through UPS. No issues at all.
Am I missing something?

UPS is very expensive compared to the rates we got from eBay.
If you are shipping by Canada Post, remember you can print from their website.
https://www.canadapost-postescanada.ca/cpc/en/home.page
And if you are enrolled in their Solutions for Small Business program you get a small discount.

UPS is fine, until it isn't.
UPS is fronting the cost of the tariffs/duties with the expecation that they will be reimbursed by the buyer upon delivery. They also tack on hefty brokerage fees on top of any tariffs/duty. If you haven't had any complaints from your buyers then they have obviously been fine paying the fee to receive their goods. But there is a large contingent of Americans that simply have zero understanding of how the new tariffs and removal of de minimis affect them, and eventually you're going to have a buyer get angry about the payment they will need to make to UPS to receive their funds.
While you're covered by eBay if the buyer refuses the parcel (they void their Money Back Guarantee), that doesn't mean it's not going to be a headache for you. You have to deal with the buyer from a customer service perspective, and UPS can actually come back and bill your eBay account for the tariffs/duty that the buyer failed to pay. Not to mention the hassle of dealing with a buyer chargeback - there aren't enough data points yet to confidently say that eBay will have your back 100% of the time on a chargeback for this reason. They should, but the risk still exists.

Because Canada Post is CANADIAN for one! UPS---not so much.

Canada Post is not disabled on eBay, but they have removed the ability to purchase U.S.-bound Canada Post shipping labels, as they do not have the necessary Zonos integration to facilitate it.
At the moment, there is no known plan to reinstate it.

i don't do the states, just canada but many of my fellow ebayers i see usually once a week at the post office sell to the states some as high as 4/5 packages a visit. Some even more -some with labels attached, some just like me, and use a real person to process my sales packages, they seem not to have any problem shipping to the States. Though they always complain about the process and the software they use, maybe somebody could explain what is happening.

As someone who has been using Fedex and UPS to ship to the states since the introduction of the tariffs, i can confirm that it has been the definition of nightmare. The worst services i have ever seen in Canada, no joke. And don't you dare even imagine them losing a package, because doing a claim for the refund when the label was printed through Ebay is the most archaic system you will find online. Fedex lost two of my packages late November, and i still haven't been refunded, nor can i get any informations if the refund was sent because they ask for a Ebay Fedex Account Number which is not given by Ebay. Two packages lost with UPS in the last months, and the same situation is happening with them. Its so incredibly frustrating that i am about to remove all US shippings. And don't get me started with customers complaining about the UPS $24USD brokerage fees+the tariff fee, and then refusing the package on delivery.
As someone who has always complained about Canada Post (mainly because of their strikes), you really don't know what you're missing when you're forced to deal with the bottom of the barrel that is Fedex and UPS. Canada Post was so incredibly better, i genuinely cannot even compare it to UPS and Fedex.

I refuse to deal with Fedex, but I ship quite a lot via UPS for domestic orders. I haven't used them for orders going to the States in quite a while. Within Canada I'm very happy with the service. I usually buy the labels via Click Ship and get free pickups. I've never had one get lost or needed to file a claim, but they have links with each shipment to a claims form in case you need to.

Ok. Since there is no hope for ebay to reinstate Canada Post lable print to U.S. addresses.... what are the options? Where can we buy the cheapest Canada Post lables - I am thinking possibly ShipStation?
Tracked Packet LITE offered incredible rates ($7-$9)... now buying regular tracked packet lables via Canada Post is like $15.
Where can we buy resonably priced lables there days?

What's Tracked Packet Lite? Canada Post offered a "Light Packet" service some years ago for international shipments, but it was untracked. Are you thinking of the eBay-exclusive Expedited Lite service that's for domestic shipments?

Important to remember Expedited Lite is ONLY available with eBay Labels. Not in any way, shape or form from CP directly.
