selling to the US

I guess I will also quit selling / shipping most of the items in my store to the the USA., but what about letter mail? I sell stamps, postcards, ephemera, things that can fit in an evnelope and use letter mail rates.  I have been thinking about just selling / listing those items to the USA - is there a down side to that, somthing I haven't thought about? Thanx for any input

" is there a down side to that" ? you mean aside of that fact that it is against postal rules and policies to send goods/merchandise disguised as "lettermail" to USA & International destinations, when lettermail pertains to "actual" letters and documents only...plus you not think Customs is not going to be even more suspicious about such envelopes of goods/merchandise being "disguised" as lettermail to avoid tariffs?

selling to the US

I've started adding a $10 shipping fee to US instead of the Free Shipping I normally offer US and Canadian customers.

My hope is that the shipments that do not get charged pull in enough money to make up for the ones that do get charged.

Just as cheap untracked shipping makes up for occasional losses to scammers when the cost of tracking is higher than the aggregate value of the products.
