I have 10 coins from Iraq, when I went to bulk edit it gives me an error that the quantity is not valid and is showing zero quantity. When I go look at the listing, it shows "out of stock", but doesn't give me an option to view the sales record or tell me who bought it.
The items show up in my store, but the above is what I see when I click on the listing.
It's all my items from Iraq, why is it showing them as sold when I didn't sell them and still have the items in stock? How did this happen?

I just checked the box to make sure, all 10 coins are in the box and available for sale. This is what I see in bulk editor with quantity changed to zero.
I'm currently trying to change the quantity to 1 to see if that fixes my problem, but I don't know how they determined to make all these out of stock and mark them as "sold" when I didn't sell any of them.
I know I can't ship them to Germany so I can't have postage enabled for Worldwide or Europe in the profile (even though Germany is already excluded), and that gives me an error if I forget and try to list, so I made a profile specifically to apply to Iraq coins.

The items are for sale, and it looks like this... "last one... one sold" but no information on the mysterious sale that occured. I only have 10 Iraq coins in inventory and this mystery happened to all 10 listings, so makes me think the Iraq part is the key.

Are you able to manually update your listing or are you blocked from that function? You should see your specific error message above the screenshot you included.
There is a current...possibly in play for longer than we realize issue with listings that have internal errors. (I opened a ticket approx 2 weeks ago and was advised 24 to 48 hrs for resolution.) Discovered this when I went to bulk edit.Otherwise would have never known. In my case a photo ebay is not liking and listings where ebay has done a mod to the character limit for a manually created item specific. (Originally it was 80 until someone decided to shrink.) According to bulk edit i have approx 140 listings with internal issues. Your situation is most likely covered under the same ticket. You will just need to get yourself added. They resolve on a user by user basis. According to a check last night the ticket is still being worked on.
Here are some of the possible list of error messages.

This is the error message you will see when you try to edit.
According to eBay CS they no longer message users with status updates for tickets
"I'm so sorry that was the original expectation given. We are advised to not give estimates, as we have no idea of the complexity surrounding an issue, nor do any of us work in IT."
You can only keep testing or remessage cs to check status. Why if you check the eBay Status pages everything is running perfectly.
Additional reason for an error message. If you used what eBay considers HTML in listing system may be getting an error message. It was fixed for titles but not in item specifics.

I was able to update the quantity in the bulk editor and now it's showing one for sale, but if you go to the listing, it shows "last one" and "1 sold", so it's still a mysterious error, just something I managed to fix because this account only has 1000 listings, so it's not unmanageable when something goes wrong.
Since it was all my Iraq coins, and nothing but Iraq coins, I thought it might have to do with the item, but the only thing I can think of is that I can't ship those items to Germany.

@sapphyres-designer-jewellery, Happy Thanksgiving.
Sin, when I look at your listings for sale, I can see 17 coins from Iraq available to purchase.
When I check out these listings, I can see that 10 of them have sales shown as "Sold as a special offer" as of 2 days ago. Same masked ID (9***a) for the buyer, and at the same time, 11 Oct 2025 at 11:46:15 EDT. You should be able to see the buyer's user ID on these links, although of course, we can't see it.
Edit: I put these into the order they were listed in, I thought a logical order would be more useful.

They are showing to me as being available to purchase, and "1 sold". I believe that this can happen when the buyer accepts the offer, but doesn't, or can't pay. The item stays availablle until payment has been made, and the first buyer to pay gets the purchase. This may have been because the buyer's shipping address is not on your Ship-to list.
It looks to me as though I could purchase them, and if I paid for them first, then the purchase would be mine, I believe. I'm not going to mess with them, of course. If the buyer doesn't pay, then the sales can be cancelled, and they might be cancelled automatically.
No purchases have been made of these 7 listings, which are all marked "New listing":

Actually, I think for the first 10 listings (the ones that have the "Sold to a special offer"), I can see them because you increased the number available, so they are now showing as 1 sold, and 1 available, for a total of 2 items per listing.
But if you are not seeing them as "sold", that would because the buyer who accepted the offer didn't, or couldn't pay for them.

Thanks for the detailed research... the plot thickens, but your explanation makes sense.
The buyer did pay this afternoon (I didn't see his ID anywhere when I looked yesterday, but can see it now), and bought all 10 coins. (The other 7 were listed last night and not part of my problem).
Anyway he managed to use a coupon that is a private coupon, but I made a mistake a couple of days ago and made it public which is how he was able to purchase with it (if he bought the 10 items 2 days ago). I've fixed it, so the coupon is private now.
OK, I won't freak out next time I see zero quantity. I fixed the quantity to one, and when he paid for his order, I still had one available of each coin, so I went and deleted those listings to not sell them twice.
My gosh technology can make things complicated!

@sapphyres-designer-jewellery, I'm glad you got that straightened out, and it all ended well!
You might want to bookmark this link, because it might be the only way you can see the buyer's user ID if this happens again:

I wonder if he actually paid when he purchased the with a coupon, (as you said) but it took 2 days for the payment to clear? That could be how this happened. That can happen if he paid with PayPal from a bank account, for example, but he didn't have a backup payment method on file.

Not sure, the money is in my eBay right now, so all is good. Only problem is Canada post labels are not enabled here or with my shipper Stallion, so I have to use alternative shipping for this package.
I think the coupon is how the coins sold, so I'm happy at that, just didn't want to make it public, it's for people who's packages are trapped in the postal system due to the strike (to encourage them to come back). That was fixed yesterday.
