"Due to US customs policies, the buyer of this item will need to pay import fees to the shipping carrier prior to delivery."
This banner appear on international sales even if there are no tariffs on particular items. It's simply false, misleading and harmful for sales statement .

Did devon@ebay ever reply to this or any other of the threads about the banner being inaccurate?

I suspect Devon has made queries about this to eBay higher-ups that have gone unanswered.

Just a guess but, it may have been an order/suggestion from their legal dept and until/if things change, the blue banner of death will remain.

I do get the sense that something has tied eBay’s corporate hands on this. What they're likely waiting for is the Supreme Court ruling.

I hope money will speak soon. Usually, I sold 3 items a day, now I sell 6 items a week. The FVF and PL income is gone. They probably are losing millions....

I'm doing especially terrible this week... one of my competition was boasting about their sales, so I checked out their store. They're practically giving stuff away, I calculated around 43 cents in revenue on each sale (not including the price of the item being sold). I'm sure if I give stuff away I'll sell lots too.
So this is two weeks in a row doing really really badly, in both stores. I was doing OK until Thanksgiving.
