Without sales and shipping this weekend, how are you spending your time?

Just wondering what everyone's doing with their time if they aren't selling and can't ship... Although my US store is still operational for US buyers, they are not exactly purchasing from me right now (with the tariff stuff going on).

Today I went through all my coins to remove anything that was no longer profitable to sell. (To return to the brick and mortar store, certain items have a sliding scale for costs depending on the cost of silver on any particular day).

I'm also going through my misc bucket of stuff that's been freshly photographed and maybe listings made up, to grab anything I did do a listing for and put it away in inventory where I can find it.

Also working on removing Canadian tokens from the US store to move to the Canadian store (with CUSMA it's not really necessary anymore, however I think I am more likely to get a sale from a buyer in Canada and I believe my Canadian eBay store may be my future here... so I'd like to get stuff listed).

After all that sitting around and doing eBay stuff (and liquidating some of my items for cash to get grocery money for next week while I can't sell much or ship much), I'm going to enjoy an evening BBQ.

Re: Without sales and shipping this weekend, how are you spending your time?

We had awesome weather here so I spent the afternoon cleaning up an old plastic storage shed that some chipmunks turned into the roof of their acorn warehouse - they'd dug tunnels under the floor and deposited the acorns looks like for a few years. Also found lotsa stuff that I put in there incase I needed it someday. Going out in garbage bags this week.

Also did a couple months of monthly reporting, I keep my own books and had been delinquent since march.... still some to finish because its amazing how much enthusiasm one has for cleaning out a dirty old storage bin when the alternative is book keeping!!! 😀

My personal stuff (non Brick and Mortar store inventory) gets logged separately and I haven't kept my books since May (I was off sick from work from surgery for two weeks and bored with nothing to do, so that's the last time I got it done).

You've reminded me that I need to spend time updating the books, perhaps when I'm done the inventory organization I can keep books. Ironically while I typed that last message I got a random sale for an item to the US. It was a banknote, and I added the product to Stallion using code 4907, and it accepted it and approved it for cross border shipping (which it wasn't doing in August when I first tried to set something up with that code).

At some point I think I'll go through my email... it's supposed to be done once a month to dig up receipts for my HST return (and year end taxes), but I've slacked off being stressed about the tariff stuff (and spending lots of time trying to adapt to that and fix my store so I could keep selling).

I'm enjoying the beginning of the autumn and watching the leaves changing colours.

Watching my beloved Blue Jays and catching up on some outstanding correspondence I’ve been meaning to catch up on.

Come Monday I’ll probably start resetting my listings/store to get ready for eBay International Shipping Canada, and the Canada Post strike.

Went to a couple estate sales and found some great quality items as well as some bargains. Came home and sold costume jewelry for 60$ on FBM cash/local. Crash napped after!
