Zonos integration, CP discounted labels, import fee warning removal...

Any updates to if/when ebay will integrate zonos on ebay canada to take advantage off Canada Post discounted labels in ebay and the removal of any and all mention of import fees, duties, taxes, processing fees when US buyers select or see any Canada Post calculated service including Tracked Packet US, Expedited US, and Xpresspost US.

These tools are long over due. EIS is not economical in most situations. This is having a major impact on sales to US.

There are no fees due when US buyers receive item(s) using any Canada Post options, the information shown is false.

We here in the forums are fellow eBay members >we are not eBay employees and/or eBay staff  and thusly do not have access to any information pertaining to updates until they are announced...Best to address your concerns directly to someone who actually "may" be able to provide any insight on such matters by joining the eBay webinar sessions...such as the upcoming"eBay International Shipping webinar on January 23"

In the last webinar they suggested it's not happening any time soon. I suspect this may be an issue on Canada Post's end rather than eBay's, but I don't know that for sure.

Re: Zonos integration, CP discounted labels, import fee warning removal...

Because eBay has its own eIS system now, I highly doubt there is any need for a CP/Zonos Integration...so any Canadian eBay sellers wanting to utilize a CP/Zonos method will have to do so without any help from eBay...

Even worse, the false statement about "will have" fees is activelty falsely creating a barrier.

I've noticed something with EIS: for packages under 2 kg, it's more expensive than before, but I can live with it. However, for packages 2 kg and over, it's exorbitant, and I won't be making any sales in the US with these shipping prices.

See example 1: 2.2 kg, 39 cm x 24 cm x 24 cm: $42.41 shipping. It used to cost me $28 before Trump!

Example 2: 2.5 kg, 46 cm x 27 cm x 27 cm: $110.32 for the same item, which used to cost $36.00—ridiculous.

Re: Zonos integration, CP discounted labels, import fee warning removal...

When potential US buyers see any Canada Post calculated shipping costs and the message "Due to US customs policies, the buyer of this item will need to pay import fees to the shipping carrier prior to delivery." is flat out lie, it should be removed. I can understand if the seller has calculated shipping for UPS or Fedex.  To say it is unfair is an understatment. After 20 plus years on ebay our sales have gone down the toilet because of one false statement provided by ebay to potential US buyers. It should say NO additional fees using Canada Post, they are pre-paid. Plus the lost advantage of deep discounts for tracked packet US and adding or absorbing the cost of pre-paid duties.

The main thing is that they should remove the infamous blue warning. But they will never change it with a banner saying what you suggest. That would be a false claim, as some buyers in the US are getting hit with extra fees, regardless. There have been quite a few cases exposed online.

Re: Zonos integration, CP discounted labels, import fee warning removal...

you are correct in that eBay can't guarantee it, sellers can't guarantee it...

There is only this guarantee>DT will continue to cause world chaos, world tariff chaos until his presence is permanently removed from this planet...

Re: Zonos integration, CP discounted labels, import fee warning removal...

Agreed, blue removal and that is it, nothing more. There are no additional costs/fees for buyers through canada post, that is the purpose of zonos. The other carriers are the ones where buyers are getting hit with extra fees. Something more needs to be done on ebay part that has the best interest of canadian sellers in mind when selling to the US.
