Canada Post's mailing labels have been unavailable since June 30 and remain unvailable as of July 3 (a.m.)
eBay's response? Marking SHIPPING OVERDUE on items that can't be shipped without a mailing label.
No statement on seller protection for late shipment defects due to the unavailablity of this service.
That would be so difficult, to give sellers some peace of mind?

I had to take to lose about $3.00 on shipping but shipped one of my items directly though Canada Post tonight to the US. Hopfully they have it fixed tomorrow because one of my items may cost me about $5.00 more to ship it directly through Canada Post or more.

This is what I did as well.
I am not worried about defects or negative feedback but it would be nice if they threw us a bone. Maybe refund a small portion of the final value fees for orders during the past week.
I have had a slow few days, so I only have about 15 orders that were affected so far but that's still probably around $50+ in extra shipping costs between having to use UPS, not getting the level 4 Tracked Packet discounts elsewhere, or having to ship Expedited Lite orders with standard Expedited. Some orders cost a few dollars more, some cost as much as $10 more.

Same here. It cost me $7-$8 more to ship directly through Canada Post. If I had shipped with UPS or Fedex, it would have been $10 more. So far I had to take a lose of $40 for 5 items.

Trying to ship out a DVD to BC for the past 2 days, ...
If it's under 2cm thick, just send it as oversize lettermail. Untracked, will arrive with the buyer's regular mail. Not available to buy as a label. You either pay at a post office/outlet or use stamps $2.61 (100g), $4.29 (200g)

Thanks but I don't send anything without a tracking #. Been burned too many times for that to happen ever again.
